Creativity, hard work, passion, and dedication made five university students create a breathtaking origami art on a 40-meter wall using more than 2000 origami figures. Working on walls 20 hours a day for 7 days has definitely paid off by being the biggest origami wall art in the middle east.

Basically, origami art is the art of creating any figure or shape using a paper without cutting or gluing any part of it. this art is unfortunately pristine and unfamiliar in Egypt and the middle east. It all started two years ago, when Yasser Ayman and Noha Abdelwahhab started to take origami courses at a center. Khalid Amin then joined the origami art and all went to an event workshop in Fayoum where people showed different types of art. Before the big project, they would create origami designs for coffee shops and bakeries varied from oriental Ramadan designs to Halloween related figures.

They then offered an origami wall art design to an engineer who wanted to change a kind of boring looking hotel in Aswan into something aesthetic looking as her graduation project. Amira and Abdullah Al-Ruby has joined them after the approval to their design. The design was a Nubian kind of style which contained five different shapes including a crescent around a star that was made of yard fans and also using 120 more different figures with also using the right material.

After seven days, the design was complete and precisely done, a beautiful and colorful work on Ashri Narty hotel that faced the Nile river. Hoping that their art would be in the Guinness world records, they said that it’s only the beginning and they are looking forward to creating more amazing designs and bigger projects. Khalid Amin said : A great design we would like to create is in the British university in Egypt Origami art is a beautiful art that needs more attention and support Khalid also said.
